Sony NEX5-T

One of Sony's Early Mirrorless Models

The NEX5-T was a great little APS-C camera for its time. It has a 16MP sensor and an articulating screen. The biggest downside was a lack of viewfinder, meaning taking pics in bright sunlight could be difficult. The next biggest fault was a proprietary flash mount which only fit a small Sony flash, only enough to add a little light in specific situations. This camera was really aimed at amateur users who wanted a better camera to get family pics and not serious users.

Using the standard Sony E-mount it fits a wide variety of lenses sold today. It also uses the smaller of the two Sony batteries still available, so for anyone looking for a used camera for cheap, finding one of these can provide you a small, lightweight option for any pocket application where a flash is not required. In fact, most of my lenses cost more than a used one of these in good condition, so if you want an interchangeable lens camera you can carry in your pocket, find one of these on a respectable website and grab a few new batteries to keep it running.
