Flower and Plant Macro
Flowers and leaves are also great macro subjects. These are especially recommended for those with an aversion to creepy crawlies or simply want a subject that holds a little more still.
Star of Bethlehem
These little flowers bloom in our yard each Spring. They made a great subject as I was able to clip some and bring them inside. Single shot with flash.
Water Droplet Focus Stack
This is a focus stack of 29 photos. I'll probably try and get a more whimsical version of the "water droplet macro shot" again in the future. 29 shot stack, natural light.
Pincushion Flower
From our garden, this pretty purple flower was a hit amongst the honey bees. Single shot with flash.

Leaves make a great macro subject. The veins make incredible patterns and if you get the light behind the leaves you get a really great effect. Single shots, natural light.
